Warning, this mod features a lot of bullying and harassment toward the female lead, so if you are not a fan of these things or they make you uncomfortable, tread carefully.

The direct sequel to Forlorn Heart Chapter 1 (specifically, the Director's Cut, not the initial release), taking place across the span of a few days, starting from the end of the first chapter up until about a little over a week after. This mod will be unique in that, in addition to there being a lot of OCs playing major parts in the story alongside the main 4 girls (and yes, they all appear in Chapter 2 as opposed to Chapter 1), the story is told entirely through Akane's point of view. MC himself sort of takes a backseat.

Upon not only finding out about MC's feelings for her, but also the current fate he is in, Akane finds herself in emotional turmoil as a majority of the students seem to turn on her and spread rumors of how his current state is all her fault, leading to a lot of bullying and harassment. All the while, a malevolent shadow known as Zhiritha makes herself known, wanting to create chaos and have a bit of fun corrupting Akane.

After some delays, we're glad to finally have this mod out. Continuing Akane's story in the Perfect World Anthology, this mod also serves as the debut of Destiny Tenjouin and (the true debut of) Momoko Takahama, who we've been building up since the original Night Nurse. Forlorn Heart was originally meant to be 2 chapters, but after major considerations, it will now be 3 chapters, with the third chapter serving as the finale to this storyline. As part of the Perfect World Anthology, this mod has some concepts and plot points carried over from previous mods like Shattered Time: Rewind and Captive Heart: Amor Prohibido, while also introducing a few that will be important later.

So I would not only highly recommend playing the Chapter 1 Director's Cut first, but also Shattered Time: Rewind and (at the time of this writing, it isn't currently out) Captive Heart: Amor Prohibido to have a full understanding of the larger story at play here.

A long name, I know. While not exactly 100% necessary, I wanted to go over Chapter 1 of Forlorn Heart once again after reviewing some feedback and after kind of painting myself into a corner during the making of  Chapter 2. So while this mod will have the same general story, what you do get are things like additional dialogues with characters like Amy and most importantly, learning more about Akane.

There will also be some new sprite edits and a few new coding tricks here and there. As such, since the mod has been extended and has more going on, it has earned the title of being a Director's Cut. Otherwise, it's nearly identical to the original. The only thing I will say is this will be replacing the original, since this will be the one we use going forward for future stories (like Chapters 2 and 3 of Forlorn Heart) and what I would say is the definitive version of this installment.

As a refresher, this will be a series split across a few parts, centering around a different MC and his love interest, Akane. Other mods in the Perfect World Anthology take place in their own universe. This one will be one of the first to have a direct sequel.

This will be Akane's second solo outing and her first time as a major character in the Perfect World Anthology. Written by me, coded by NightmareNinjaZero.

For some reason, though, he seems to be struggling more than he usually is, as he experiences time looping on itself as the same day repeats over and over. And with it, a different reason for why he is unable to confess to Akane or just her flat out rejecting him. 

Along the way, MC discovers a mysterious notebook and many questions about what's truly going on with the day repeating itself. Can MC figure out what's going on or will he be stuck in an endless loop of torment?

Before anyone asks, yes, we did re-release Night Nurse a while back. That was just an update of sorts to try removing some of the ways our former coder tampered with the original game. Not only did I see that we missed some, but since I have plans for the characters from Night Nurse, I felt this was warranted, as the original didn't leave any doors open for a continuation. Not to mention a few people complained about certain scenes going on longer than they should have, so I fixed those, too.

So this isn't just a simple update, but it's not a full on remake from the ground up. Hence the name of "Night Nurse Remastered." It fixes some problems both the original and re-release had (no more Natsuki police, for one thing) while removing some stuff for time and pacing, as well as adding some new details and lore to Night Nurse and the Perfect World Anthology as a whole.

In this universe, MC (who deals with his own depression) mysteriously falls ill, which leads to Sayori (who has not been acting like herself) to take care of him as his self-proclaimed nurse. Things aren't as they seem to be, so MC enlists the help of Yuri's cousin, Kotonoha, to investigate things while dealing with being sick and "nurse" Sayori being extra frisky.

This mod can be more or less described as a mystery/drama sort of mod and has a longer plotline than the original Captive Heart did. Since it is part of the PWA, there are going to be some disturbing imagery or scenes, although not to the point of that one mod we made that I removed and don't talk about.

The mod's story was inspired by some games made by Melancholy Marionette and given my usual spin on things. It is also inspired by the Cascada song of the same name. I would also recommend fully understanding some hidden details of the mod, playing Shattered Time: Rewind, Captive Heart: Amor Prohibido, and Wicked Witchcraft will help greatly, as it builds on some of the core ideas built from those mods.

The remake of the original Doki Doki Shattered Time and our most ambitious mod as of right now. A while back, my former coder and I were playing through the original Shattered Time, Captive Heart, and that third mod we don't talk about. I felt all three could have been done so much better, so the Dangerous Love Trilogy was started. However, time passed and things came up such as said former coder leaving the team with some rather hurtful parting words, losing all our progress when he took it with him and didn't allow us to have access to it anymore, or the passing of the girl who inspired Akane putting me in a depression I'm still recovering from...

While the Dangerous Love Trilogy was partially cancelled, two of the remakes were going to be started over and made as stand-alone projects. Shattered Time is the genesis of the Perfect World Anthology, so for sure, this mod had to be done right and given the proper treatment it deserved.

Much like the original story, it all starts with a loaded question Natsuki asks at the very beginning, followed by the revelation that she died the previous night. MC, who is struggling with the ghosts of his past, convinces himself that Natsuki's death doesn't mean anything to him. That all changes when Amy, one of Natsuki's friends, asks him for a favor: Go into the past, uncover the truth behind Natsuki's death, and save her from meeting a terrible fate. After some persuasion from Amy, MC embarks on a journey through time to not only figure out how to save Natsuki, but also grapple with his past and the ghosts that continue to haunt him.

In performing the ritual, MC has formed a pact with the wicked Terankos, who has the power to reset time should you go to him with a simple wish, but only once. MC realizes the hard way that he's gotten himself in over his head and that, despite walking a lonely road ever since losing someone special to him, he can't do things alone. Terankos is always watching, however, and MC cannot disobey or betray him without facing some dire consequences.

This mod is significantly longer than the original Shattered Time and expands the story into something greater. Gone are the multiple endings and choices, but in their place, is a longer story that pays tribute to the original while putting a new spin on things. This mod also takes a lot of music from past mods, further paying tribute to what came before it. Since this mod is literally the foundation of the Perfect World Anthology, we felt like we had to go all out on it as much as we could.

Lastly, one thing I'll mention is that a while back, someone compared the original Shattered Time to another mod with a sort of... infamous reputation, saying it was like a watered-down version of this mod. I kind of took this as a bit of a challenge when writing STR. Considering I lost the script for the original (although I have actually since found it as of 3 nights ago, so it's not lost anymore!), I started from the ground up and looked at how the original was structured. Then I studied what that mod did, what I liked, what I didn't like (which there was a lot of), and how I can pay tribute to the initial idea while also re-inventing it into something larger. The original ST, while I like the premise of the tragic love story, I felt had a lot left to be desired and was kind of bare bones. That is no longer the case here and honestly? This mod blows the original out of the water.

I hope you like it as much as we enjoyed creating it. After 2 years of delays, this mod is finally going to see the light of day as I hoped it would.

Doki Doki Captive Heart

Captive Heart (Original)

Originally released May of 2021. Technically the second mod in the Perfect World Anthology after I decided Tainted Love did not work for the series anymore.

In this universe, we meet a young man (MC) who, after wanting to confess to his high school crush for a long time, ends up doing so in a twist of fate. That high school crush just happens to be Monika Akiyama, one of the most popular girls in school.

After dating for some time, Monika invites MC over to her house for dinner as her way of treating him. While waiting for dinner to be made, MC stumbles on a piece of paper that turns out to be a torn diary scrap with Monika's handwriting on it. Curiosity getting the better of him, he stumbles into a rabbit hole that leads him around Monika's house on a hunt for the rest of these torn diary scraps.

This mod is unique in the sense that, in addition to the familiar VN elements, there is a point and click aspect that allows you to explore Monika's house. The story revolves around getting to know Monika's past through these diary scraps and uncovering a secret she seems to be hiding. What could it be, though?

This mod has 4 different endings, 2 bad endings, 1 "worst" ending that I absolutely hated writing but made by request of Mr.Rocketman909, and a true ending, which is my personal favorite.

I put this mod up back in 2021, when it was just me and Mr.Rocketman909 still on the team. I was the writer, he was the coder. Admittedly, he did a few things I didn't approve of, such as taking elements I made for the true ending and putting them in a secret ending you unlock by playing through the mod a second time. It was inspired by the Charon game Mikoto Nikki, which in turn was partially inspired by Mirai Nikki (The Future Diary).

I used to be very proud of this mod. It was my first time truly writing Monika outside of Carpe Diem and what little work I did for October Horizon. I had a lot of fun working on it (outside of the conflicting ideas and game design philosophies me and Rocketman had) and it was an interesting mod we were both satisfied with. That was, until I saw certain reactions of the mod on YouTube. Ultimately, I grew to feel ashamed of the mod and even despise it after time passed. I then decided to take the mod down just due to the negative reception it garnered. While some people praised the creativity of the mod and even the story, others called it complete nonsense and felt the mod was garbage.

Because people keep asking me about this mod and continue to talk about it, I am going to reverse my decision and make the original Captive Heart available again. I will not do this for Tainted Love, as I still do not feel comfortable making that available once again. I honestly want that mod to stay lost. For the people who genuinely enjoyed Captive Heart, here you are again. I still say it will be worthwhile to play the planned remake instead, but here you go.

Yuri and Koto: Episode 1

Originally released in May of 2024. Remaster released in September of 2024.

This mod was written by NightmareNinja and PikminEye, with some additional writing from me for the Remaster. For the original, I served as a consultant for Akane, creating some sprite edits, and creating the logo and name, I took a backseat in writing for this one. For the remastered version, I fixed some spelling/grammar errors, added some bits of dialogue here and there, and edited a few parts.

This story focus on Natsuki living on her own after life dealt her a cruel hand. She was at an orphanage before getting her own place and then landing herself in an all girls' school for the rich. She meets Sayori, who hails from a rich family. Over time, things are revealed about the school and she has to learn how to control her inner demons over the course of this episodic adventure.

This is the first episode of the series so far, as there are three episodes planned.

Happy Birthday, Akane!

An introduction to my OC girl, Akane, in her first solo outing. The story opens with Akane waking up on November 15, just to realize it's her birthday. Upon getting excited, though, she goes through the day and it seems that her friends in the Literature Club are kind of avoiding her. At least, that's what she feels, initially.

Released back in April 2023. This mod was written by me, coded by Mr.Rocketman909, Frikpulpo, and NightmareNinja for the first time. This was also the last mod to be coded by Rocketman before he left the team leaving to pursue "bigger and better things," as he put it to me.

Akane is a special character to me in the sense that not only was she the first DDLC OC that I ever came up with (outside of Megan, who never happened), but she was also partly dedicated to a girl who meant a lot to me that passed away in 2022. Half of Akane's personality came from her, the other half comes from me, in a sense. She has also become the defacto face of Team Traitor and my YouTube channel mascot.

Doki Doki Get Out was made as part of a 2024 Plot Twist Mod Jam (and 2nd Place winner of said mod jam). Released in August of 2024 and completed within 10 days. Inspired by an episode of the Twilight Zone, I felt it was the perfect premise for a story.

Written by me and coded by NightmareNinja, the mod starts out with MC waking up in a house he doesn't recognize with Sayori. After talking with her, he finds out that not only are the other club members in there, but they all woke up here under similar circumstances.

After meeting up with the other club members, they see that they've essentially been sealed off in this house with no easy way of escape. With no way out and no explanation for how they all ended up there, everyone tries to cope and figure out how to escape. But can they figure out how to get out?

The mod can be finished within a half hour and has only one ending, no choices, just a straight shot to the end of the story.

A remake of the original Doki Doki Carpe Diem. This mod was written by me and coded almost entirely by me, as well. The original coding from Nathan serves as a basis for this mod, but was taken and improved. 

This mod introduces Black Rose Akane, the Mistress of Forlorn, as the host for the story. After giving a brief recount of the original Carpe Diem, she introduces the new story.

The mod begins almost the same way, with MC waking up excited for his date with Monika today. After all, it's not just any date, it's their anniversary. They've graduated and they're spending some time together over the summer. While the mod still contains that same twist as before, things are handled a bit differently and ends on more of a hopeful note.

Finally, going back to Akane, she gives her thoughts on the story while also stressing the idea of what it means to "seize the day," and live a life with no regrets. Which was the main reason why I wrote this mod in the first place and wanted to make sure it was done justice.

Doki Doki Night Nurse

The fourth in sequence in the Perfect World Anthology. In this universe, MC is going to the Literature Club as per usual, only to find no one is there. No one except for Sayori, that is. Taking things in her hands, Sayori ends the meeting and takes MC back home to spend time with him. Things take a turn for the worse, however, when he suddenly finds himself becoming sick.

Sayori then takes it on herself to become his nurse to take care of him. While this might sound like heaven, MC feels as though there is something wrong with this picture. Between dealing with depression himself and the sudden bizarre turn of events, he isn't sure if there is something wrong with Sayori. He finds things even stranger when he cannot get a hold of the other Literature Club members, leading him to enlist some help to get to the bottom of things.

The mod switches between dual protagonists, MC who you see for most of the story, and Kotonoha, who MC contacts to help him once he grows suspicious of Sayori and the missing Literature Club members. The mod is a bit longer than the likes of Shattered Time and Wicked Witchcraft, having 4 endings across 2 major branching paths.

This mod was written by me and initially coded by Mr.Rocketman909, but was later re-released and recoded by NightmareNinja to fix a few errors and some things Rocketman made that I didn't fully sign off on. 

Doki Doki Wicked Witchcraft

Technically the third in sequence for the Perfect World Anthology. In this separate universe, MC finds himself abducted by a young woman named Yuri, who tells him she is a witch set on eating him for some cryptic ritual. Panicked, MC now has to find a way to escape or risk becoming dinner for the young witch.

This mod was written by me and coded by Mr.Rocketman909, who opted to create a mod that featured as many multiple endings as possible to rival Shattered Time. Something I wasn't fully on board with.

This mod has 9 endings and many choices to lead you down these paths.  There is also a secret ending you can obtain by obtaining the true ending one more time after having finished the game (a mechanic I  still find questionable). The mod itself is not very long, only being made longer due to the additional endings. This is a more lighthearted mod compared to Shattered Time and Captive Heart. Think of it as some sort of bizarre fantasy rom-com.

The first mod ever made from Team Traitor. Written by me, coded by a young man named Nathan who was interested in coding. The mod follows MC as he prepares for a date with Monika. It's not just any date, though. It's an anniversary date.

This is a short mod made from some rejected ideas from Doki Doki October Horizon. I made this as kind of a test for me and him to sort of get the feel for how to make DDLC mods. As such, the mod is not exactly winning any awards for best writing or anything. I'm personally disappointed in this mod, but it's mainly just due to my faults as a writer. Nathan was only doing what he thought was best based on the guidance I gave him.

The mod also has a bit of a twist at the end. Which did not do me any favors back in the day when it was released.

Doki Doki Shattered Time

The first mod in the Perfect World Anthology, Doki Doki Shattered Time. This is one of the starting points of the series. The story begins with a loaded question asked by Natsuki to MC, followed by her sudden death. MC, after being jaded by life, initially feels indifferent to this. That is, until Amy comes around and tells him about the Tragedy of Terankos the Tyrant. MC blows this off as being a load of nonsense by some creepy girl until Amy tells him he's met Terankos before.

After being convinced by Amy, MC performs a ritual to travel back in time to discover the secret of how Natsuki died and figure out how to save her. Due to the ritual, MC is doomed to repeat the same cycle until he saves Natsuki's life. Essentially he is trapped in a time loop until he came save her life. All the while, he begins to learn things about Natsuki and himself.

This mod was written by me and coded by Mr.Rocketman909 back in the day.

The mod has 7 different endings, with the final and true ending being obtainable only after getting the previous 6. The story is relatively linear with simple choices that dictate which ending you get. The mod itself is not very long, only being made longer by the content featured in the endings. This mod is currently being remade, but I still think the original is worth playing considering the remake is going to be quite different.
